Multipoint lock repairs
The most common repair we complete is on the multipoint lock. This is the term for the locking strip that runs down the edge of the door and helps to hold it securely. They only have an average lifespan of 10-12 years, so the door is often in relatively good condition and certainly not ready to change. Undoubtedly, if you were to head to a door installer, they would offer you a new door.
They can fail in both open and closed positions, but this will not concern us, nor should it concern you. You will be in good hands with Danum Locksmiths. In most cases, we can be with you the same day you call. We aim to complete the repair on the same day without additional return visits. It scares us at times how much stock we carry to complete these repairs, but it is necessary in this industry.
If the problem is with the key itself, a simple barrel change could be required. We may recommend that you upgrade to an anti-snap cylinder as well. Even though there are various types of these locks, we carry them all. If extra keys are required, we have on-board cutting facilities for this purpose, and all will checked before issuing them.
